Creating Entrepreneurship In The Community
Program Description
GTSS offers grants for undergraduate and graduate students studying engineering and computer science and for those who are interested in exploring an entrepreneurial opportunity in the summer of 2010 in any of the software technology fields.
Program Details
A maximum of 4 individual grants will be awarded. A team will have 1-4 students in it.
Each member of the team will receive $3000 as part of the sanctioned grant amount.
All teams will be considered for a $50000 seed investment from GTSS upon completion of the program.
Students will be provided office space at GTSS office - 3705 Quakerbridge Rd, Suite 212,
Hamilton, NJ 08619.
Grant winners are required to work full time on their startup project for
minimum 10 weeks between June 1st and September 30th.
GTSS will organize weekly seminars for the benefit of all the students.
Who Is Eligible
Each team must include at least one student (graduate or undergraduate in Engineering or
Computer Science) who was a full-time student in the 2009-2010 academic school year.
Only team members committed to working full time - for 10 weeks in the
summer of 2010 year are eligible to receive the grants.
Groups of 1 to 4 people may submit proposals as a team.
Objective
To provide entrepreneurial students with the opportunity to build their own startup.
Create an environment where students.
can devote completely to the start-up idea.
work closely with their team members.
interact with entrepreneurially-minded peers.
receive guidance from the professionals at GTSS.

Send the following to grants@gtssminds.com before May 1st 2010, winners will be announced by end of the month.

Describe the idea for your company in 50 words or less.
Background - what has changed in this market to create the opportunity? (100 words)
Describe the product or service. (100 words)
What is your unfair advantage? (100 words)
What's the value proposition? What pain does it address? (100 words)
What one company represents your biggest competition? Why? (100 words)
Describe the sales/distribution strategy? (Channel, online, direct, viral). (100 words)
What milestones do you hope to achieve during your summer internship? (100 words)
How big is the market opportunity for your product/service? Please provide supporting data.
What milestones do you hope to achieve during your summer internship? (100 words)
Is there anything else you think we should know? (100 words)
